Goal #2... Complete!

It looks like I've officially placed my first sale! Two Lockets, 2 chains, and 4 charms! I'm so excited over this. The product really does sell itself, like everyone says! All I did was send out an email, and I have people texting, and replying left and right about how beautiful and great this is going to be, and this is also what led to my first sale.

I also just now finished my order through VistaPrint for my business cards and introductory mailers. I can't wait to see how they turned out, and get them out to everyone else I know, aside from my email list.

My next step, get the product known. I'm going to make rounds this week to any offices and businesses I visit with community boards to get out a couple of temporary cards, and hand out a couple of Take-Out menus to some of my closer day-to-day acquaintances to pass on the word. I know that it could be a slow start, so if I don't reach all of my goals this month, it's ok... but I'm hoping to have this booming in the next few months. I have lots of bills, and lots of renovations that need to be done for my home... and this business could be exactly what I've been looking for to help out around the house!

P.S. ~ I'll be sure to put up pictures of her finished lockets once we receive them. She's working on a starter set. She wants to start small, and be able to buy them more charms, dangles, lockets, chains, etc., so they almost have their own O2 collection to build what they want daily. I think it's an AMAZING idea!

My First Sale!

So I received a call today for my first official sale! I'm so excited to be helping her build two different lockets as gifts. I'm just hoping that between what I have, and my team mates out there, that I can get everything she wants if I can't order them in time for Valentine's Day.

Of course, her gift receivers may be out there reading this, so *hush hush* it has to be a secret for now! I'll be sure to put up some pictures of the final products later this week!

Something New!

I now have a Facebook page to go along with my new adventure!

Ashley Lamb, Independent Designer

And below is a picture of the first locket I've put together for myself with some of the pieces in my start-up kit! (Of course, given my amazing life since my Husband and Baby Girl have been in it, I had to build mine based on my family!)

It's Official!

I am now an official Independent Designer for Origami Owl! I've been waiting for this for weeks, and now I finally have my online ordering page set up, my starter kit came in the mail and I created my first personal necklace. I'm working on ordering my business cards and postcards now!

I've been researching direct selling for a little while now, to see how best to approach this. What I've seen so far... it all depends on you! My mentor, Heather, has already been a plethora of knowledge, and I feel like she's really going to help me get this business up and going. My first mass email went out to friends and family to browse around, and get the product name out there. Now on to setting up my first party! My sister is so excited about this, I think she may be my first hostess!!

I'm on a mission now to set up a new set of goals each month, and as I complete them, cross them out, and add another. This month:

1. Host my first hostess party.
2. Receive my first online sale.
3. Receive my first party sale.
4. Get the product out there through work, social get togethers, etc.
5. Reach $1,000 in sales!!! (This is all thanks to Heather, and my commitment to her team goal!)

I'm hoping to use this blog, not only as advertising for myself, and a journal of my potential business, but also as a guide for others looking in to Origami Owl, or direct selling in general.

And since you're here browsing, take a look at my Origami Owl Shop! www.BarnOwlDesigns.OrigamiOwl.com

My Best to you All!
Ashley

My Journey is About to Begin

It looks like I'm officially 1 week away from becoming an Independent Designer with Origami Owl. I've been waiting weeks for the opportunity, after hearing the success of friends, and reviews of the amazing products offered by Origami Owl. I'm excited to see what this company will have to offer me.

Coming from a design loving family, we've had a history of designing jewelry ourselves, as gifts for friends and family. I'm hoping that after getting my O2 operation up and going, that I will be able to expand into selling our own personal jewelry as well.

Here's to potentially great new things ahead!
